In 1991, they re-registered their commercial activity and started selling satellite dishes and televisions. Over the years of business, sales only increased.
In 1994, however, Jože Jakšič took over the store in his own name and thus became an independent entrepreneur. Sales increased and in 1995 he hired his first employee. In 2002, a new business unit was opened in Ribnica (Škrabčev trg 48). As a result of sales at two locations, more traffic was generated, but the net profit decreased, so the business unit in Ribnica was sold in 2004.
In 2001, Jože Jakšič went to his first HI-FI fair in Hong Kong, from where he started importing HI-FI speakers. By importing speakers, he gained the trust of customers, which is why he expanded the import to include car acoustics and electric scooters.
In 2006, Jože Jakšič was one of the first in Slovenia to start importing four-wheelers (ATV).
In 2008, he moved his office to a new location in Kočevje (Kolodvorska cesta 16a) on an area of 800 m2.
In 2009, a new Jana Nam business unit was opened, where they took over the Big-Bang Ljubljana branch and continued selling HI-FI and white goods. Again, it was shown that two locations generate more traffic, but it is not tied to profit. The branch was closed in 2012.
In 2012, they bought another 400 m2 of business space and moved the Jana Nama store to Kolodvorska cesta 16a, where the branch under the name Trgovina Jana operates today.
