AVR voltage stabilization

An automatic voltage regulator provides protection against power problems such as blackouts and power surges. If the input supply voltage is too low, the AVR stabilizer uses a transformer to step up the output voltage. However, if the supply voltage is too high, the AVR reduces the voltage to a safe operating range.
